Scott Cherry, DVM

Hailing from Clifton Park, New York, Dr. Scott Cherry is an animal lover both at work and at home where he shares residence with a greyhound named Dennis, a parrot named Oscar and three cats - Whitebread, Hydrox, and Patio. As an undergraduate at Cornell University, Dr. Cherry majored in biology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1992. In 1997, he completed his veterinary training at Cornell, earning Dean List honors and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. With professional interests in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Cherry is certified to perform TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery for pets diagnosed with cranial cruciate ligament rupture. The results of this surgery are extremely promising, leading to a more rapid recovery time, better range of motion of the knee joint, less arthritis and return to athletic or working activity. When Dr. Cherry is not working, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving and tennis. |
