Native to Troy, Dr. Patricia Mackey attended Cornell University and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Animal Science in 2000. After completing her undergraduate studies, she was admitted to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Mackey graduated from veterinary school in 2004 and was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

A general veterinary practitioner at Shaker Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Mackey's professional interests include ophthalmology and internal medicine.

Away from her busy schedule at the hospital, Dr. Mackey enjoys gardening, cross-stitching, cooking and spending time with her pets. She has a cat named Felicia and a dog named Binky.
